FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 16, 2026
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — KPSQ is excited to officially announce Amanda Rey as the station’s new Music Director.
While this announcement is arriving much later than expected, it’s for good reason. Amanda has already hit the ground running, working behind the scenes to strengthen KPSQ’s connection to Northwest Arkansas’ thriving music community. Much of that work has already been making its way to the airwaves through “The Musician’s Corner,” where Amanda and co-host Ria Brown have been welcoming local bands and artists into the studio to share their music and stories with listeners across the region.
As Music Director, Amanda will help shape KPSQ’s musical identity while continuing to champion the artists who make Northwest Arkansas a vibrant and creative place to call home.
Listeners can hear Amanda each week on “The Musician’s Corner,” a two-hour program airing Sundays from 10 p.m. to midnight. The show brings the sound of Northwest Arkansas directly into the studio, offering audiences an intimate look at the musicians, songwriters, and performers building the local music scene.
KPSQ is proud to welcome Amanda into this leadership role and looks forward to the continued growth of programming that celebrates local voices, diverse perspectives, and the power of community radio.
About Amanda Rey

Hi, I’m Amanda Rey. I’m a multidisciplinary artist, music community organizer, and storyteller based in Northwest Arkansas. Music has been a constant thread throughout my life, not only as a singer and performer, but through years of working behind the scenes supporting artists, producing events, building creative communities, and helping connect people through music.
I’m the founder of the Northwest Arkansas Musicians Connection and NWA Music Hall of Fame and a longtime advocate for local and regional musicians. I also started D’ark Media with my partner, Casey Biggs, where we focus on documenting life through photography, video, and creative storytelling.
My background includes live event production, artist relations, media creation, and community arts leadership, all of which shape the way I approach music programming and audience connection. I care deeply about authentic storytelling, creative integrity, and creating space for artists and communities to be heard.
I’m currently pursuing a double major in Theatre/Performance Art and Psychology while continuing my work in music, media, and community-centered creative projects. I’m excited to bring my experience and perspective into this role as Music Director and to help support a station that connects people through music and shared culture.
