FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — KPSQ 97.3 FM announces the debut of “The Musician’s Corner with Amanda & Ria,” airing Sundays from 6 to 7 p.m., beginning April 26.
Hosted by Amanda and Ria “Ri Ri” Brown, “The Musician’s Corner” brings the sound of Northwest Arkansas into the studio, spotlighting the bands and artists shaping the local music scene. Each episode features in-studio conversations with musicians from across the region as they share the stories behind their sound, discuss upcoming shows and releases, and offer listeners a closer look at their creative process.
The program’s debut episode features Fayetteville-based reggae artist Rochelle Bradshaw, known as “The Island Girl.” Born into a musical family, Bradshaw’s work is rooted in reggae traditions, carrying forward messages of unity, resilience and community. Her soulful vocal style and international touring experience, including performances alongside artists such as The Original Wailers, Garnett Silk, Chaka Demus and Pliers, Luciano and Stephen Marley, bring a global perspective to the local music spotlight.
In addition to collaborating with other artists, Bradshaw fronts her own band, Hypnotion, continuing to share music that emphasizes connection and the transformative power of sound.
“The Musician’s Corner with Amanda & Ria” provides a platform for local artists to be heard while connecting the community with the music being created throughout Northwest Arkansas.
