FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — After a three-year hiatus, “Road Trip Radio” is returning to the airwaves of KPSQ-LP Fayetteville, bringing listeners a fresh mix of music discovery, local talent, and laid-back conversation in a two-hour weekly show.
Originally airing from 2021 to 2023, “Road Trip Radio” quickly developed a following for its eclectic blend of indie, alternative, folk, rock, Americana, and classic favorites. Now, the show returns with a renewed focus on highlighting the vibrant music scene of Northwest Arkansas while continuing to introduce listeners to artists from around the world.
Each episode will feature a carefully curated mix of music from artists such as Noah Kahan, Joji, Tame Impala, Hozier, Fleetwood Mac, Queen, Pink Floyd, Arctic Monkeys, and more, alongside emerging and established musicians from across Northwest Arkansas.
One of the show’s signature features will be its Spotlight Sessions, which bring local artists and bands into the KPSQ studio for interviews, conversations, and occasional live performances. These sessions offer listeners a behind-the-scenes look at the people creating music in their own communities while giving local musicians a platform to share their work with a wider audience.
In addition to its regular format, “Road Trip Radio” will feature special episodes dedicated to specific genres, decades, artists, and musical themes, including programs showcasing nothing but local music.
As KPSQ continues its mission of serving Fayetteville through community-powered radio, the return of “Road Trip Radio” adds another platform for local voices, local music, and meaningful connections through sound.
Listeners can tune in to “Road Trip Radio” Fridays from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on 97.3FM in Fayetteville or stream live online anywhere at kpsq.org.
